Here's an amazing photo of me when I ran into JAN BERRY in Beverly Hills circa 1979 -- Jan & Dean were making their first public appearances after Jan's horrific "Dean Man's Curve" accident and months and months of physical therapy. (God bless him, may he rest in peace!) |

JAN & DEAN contributed so much to "surf music", from my viewpoint -- OK, you purists, so they sang! But their popularity cannot be ignored, and certainly made "surf music" more accessible to the airwaves (like the BEACH BOYS).....for example, "SURF CITY" and 'RIDE THE WILD SURF" still sound great to me. I mean, hey, ya gotta luv a place where there are "two girls for every boy" !!
